Spiced Nuts
There's so many reasons why i enjoy fall! you can check out some in this post here, where i list my top five reasons why i love fall. And this week i decided to whip up a little something to get in the mood for fall, Spiced Nuts, with ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Enjoy!
Ingredients: (makes about 3 servings)
Recipe by:Simply Delicious
.4 egg whites
.1 and 1/2 cup whole nuts(such as walnuts,almonds,hazelnuts, pecans)
.1 cup white sugar
.1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
.1teaspoon ground nutmeg
.1 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions:
1.Whip the egg whites in a large bowl until foamy, add the whole nuts and stir to coat well. next add in the sugar, and the spices. and mix until well combine.
2.spread the nut mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper( parchment paper works best, anything else will stick to the nut when taking then out of the oven)
3.bake in a pre-heated oven for 35-40 minutes until nuts are no longer sticky.
4.let cool and break into pieces and enjoy!
